So, how does this work?

Let me break it down for you...keep reading!

Without a solid plan, your video is destined to fail. A great plan = a great video.

Planning is a severely underrated part of video production.

It's not that sexy, but it's vital. And it's a part that is often glossed over or completely forgotten.

Having a good long conversation about what your goals are with your video (or videos) will mean that you will get a video that works for you.

One of the greatest worries people have is that their video won't be what they had hoped for.  That they'll get the final copy and hate it.

One way to ensure that you get what you want and end up with a video that achieves its goals is through solid brass tacks planning.

We'll capture your story, your business, your passion.

This usually happens at your space so we can capture the authentic feeling of your business.

In other cases we'll choose a location that works for the shoot.  The shoot usually lasts about 8 hours or for more complex projects can be a few days.

If you have more than one video you want to create, it's often possible to shoot enough footage for various videos on one day.

You'll have enough information about everything we need to make the shoot a success so that on the day of you won't be too stressed. I'm not going to lie to you, there's always some shoot-day jitters, but that's a normal and important part of the process.  This should feel exciting!

Arguably this is the second most important part of production (planning being the first).

Editing is where the video actually happens.  This is the most time consuming part of the process and the part where a video can change multiple times.  BUT since we've done some great planning, this process won't be stressful.

Depending on what kind of package you choose, you'll usually have one or two (or more) review sessions where I send you the video in its current state and then we'll talk through the changes.

I always do revisions in person or on Skype because communication is vital during the creative process.  I want to know what you like, love and dislike.  And I want to make sure that at the end of the day you're happy with what we create.

Now it's time to put that brilliant distribution plan into effect. Put the video on your home page, share it on social, pop it in your newsletter, send it to bloggers etceteraaaa!
I'll send you the final video via digital delivery (Dropbox or similar) as well as DVD (if you're into hard copies) and then you'll take action on your distribution plan.  If you like, Story Envelope can also participate in the distribution strategy.

Regardless, during the planning phase we'll have talked about how your video will be used, so that this stage is just as easeful as the rest of the process.  It's important that the people you're targeting end up seeing your video.

And if you plan on releasing on various platforms, Story Envelope can create multiple versions for each platform.  Your video will be edited so that it will play just the way it should for the platforms you have chosen.

No fuss. No muss.  Just good video that does what it's designed to do.

Sound good? Cool! Let's talk....
